Mary Alice (Neff) Longanbach, 62, of Tiffin, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born November 7, 1954, in Barnesville, Ohio to H. Weldon and Clara Arlene (Shrader) Neff. Her mother is deceased. She married Michael Longanbach, January 25, 1992, in Tiffin and he survives.
Survivors include her father, H. Weldon Neff of Tiffin, two sons, Dan (Gretel) Kirby of Upper Sandusky, and Joseph Longanbach of Tiffin; a daughter, Emily (Brock) Hill of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Tyler, Jada, and Kylie Kirby, Blake and Greyson Hill; two brothers, Harry (Connie) Neff, Jr. of Findlay, and John (Tam) Neff of Kansas, Ohio; and a sister, Judy Danner of Sycamore, parents-in-law, Steven (Deanna) Longanbach of Tiffin, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a 1973 Columbian High School graduate. She was a 911 Dispatcher for the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department. She retired in 2002 as a 911 Dispatcher for the Tiffin Police Department. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Eastern Star, an AmVets life member, Job’s daughters, and belonged to F.F.A. in high school.
Mary enjoyed cooking, traveling with her family, helping her husband with genealogy and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary was grateful to be able to witness the birth of her grandson, Greyson, on May 16, 2017.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113, with a wake service at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, and an Eastern Star Service at 8 p.m.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, followed by the funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to Mass at the church.
Memorials may be made to F.A.C.T. and to the Tiffin Firefighter’s Toy Project.
