Marlin Hammond, age 76, of Tiffin, Ohio, died October 2, 2003. He was born February 19, 1927, in Scipio Twp., Seneca County, Ohio, to Claude and Esther (Michener) Hammond. On March 31, 1946, in Newport, Kentucky, he married Jean Kirchner, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Ann Immele, Leanna Kay Robbins, and Peggy L. (Dave) Driftmyer; six grandchildren, Todd Williams, Trevor (Sarah) Dundore, Brooke Dundore, Shannon (John) Elchert, Cory (Emily) Immele, and Kaihya (Marco) Jiminez; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carla (Richard) Beale, Miriam Heckerd, Verneda Shuman, and Marilyn (Frank) Fogle. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Norman and Robert Hammond, 2 sisters, Dortha Barrett and Virginia Fuller, and a son-in-law, Gerd "Buck" Robbins.
Mr. Hammond was a retired carpenter, having worked for Focht Construction in Tiffin and Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 402, Moose Lodge 846, and the Ohio Carpenters Union. He was an US Army veteran of World War II.
Pastor Greg Sellers will officiate services. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens, with military rites by the United Veterans Council.
