Mark Quintin Brickner, age 83, of Lindsay Ave., Tiffin, Ohio, died at 6:20 am, Sunday, April 15, 2007, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1924, in Tiffin, to the late Joseph L. and Rose Agatha (Scherger) Brickner. On October 22, 1955, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Rose Marie Klopp, and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Gail M. Brickner and Shelly A.(Michael) Reidel, both of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Chad Brickner-Latham of Tiffin; Adam Q. Collier of Florida; and Aron Collier of Florida; one step grandson, Shane Reidel; a great granddaughter, Olivia Holmer; four brothers, Jerome (Mabel), Joseph (Joanne), and John (Louisa) Brickner, all of Tiffin, and Albert (Dolores) Brickner of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Mary A. Hassanein of Irvine, Calif.; and Sr. Mary Quentin, SND, of Toledo; and Therese (Paul) Streacker of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen L. Brickner; a brother, Louis Brickner; and one sister, Catherine LaFountaine.
Mr. Brickner was US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1989 after 19 years at National Machinery Company as a crane operator and blue print filer. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the VFW, the Amvets and the Sandusky Valley Riders Motorcycle Club. He was also a member of the Seneca County United Veterans Council Burial Detail.
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Today, Tuesday, April 17, 2007at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. David M. Ross officiating. Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with military rites conducted by the Seneca County United Veterans Council.
The Rosary will be recited in church fifteen minutes prior to Mass.
