Marjorie A. Mowery Rathburn, 84, formerly of Stinchcomb Dr., Fostoria, died at 8 pm Friday, April 29, 2011, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born November 23, 1926 in Toledo, to the late Lawrence and Nellie (McDaniel) Keim. She married Robert Mowery in 1946 in Old Fort, and they later divorced. She then married Rex Rathburn May 21, 1971 in Angola, Ind., and he died March 18, 1987.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Paulette) Mowery of Fostoria; two daughters, Marsha (Chris) Pelter of Denver, Colo., and Lynne Mowery of Tiffin; three step-daughters, Sandra, Deborah, and Linda; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence Keim, Jr. of Old Fort, John Keim of Arizona, Robert Keim of Clyde, and Richard Keim of Tiffin; four sisters, June Fate of Old Fort, Carol Harrah of Clyde, Margaret Boroff of Marysville, and Sharon Warner of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Jo Mowery; a son, Ronald Mowery; two step-sons, Charles and Rex Rathburn; and a granddaughter, Sarah Mowery.
Marjorie was a graduate of Old Fort High School and attended Tiffin University. She retired as a clerk at K-Mart in Fostoria. She had also worked at Murphy Mart and Ames Stores in Tiffin, as well as a waitress at various restaurants. She was a member of the Bascom United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Monday, May 2, 2011, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, May 3, at the funeral home, with Rev. Cal Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
