Marjorie M. (Elsesser) Seislove

Marjorie M. Seislove, 97, of Tiffin, died in her sleep at 9:26 am Saturday, December 18, 2021, at her residence at Elizabeth Shaffer Home from heart failure.

She was born April 28, 1924, in Tiffin, to Albert and Anna (Raitz) Elsesser.  She married Walter J. Hoover on November 28, 1942, and they later divorced.  She then married Paul Kenneth Seislove May 13, 1983, and he died September 9, 2017.

Survivors include a son, Wayne (Tina) Hoover of Holland, Ohio; two daughters, Marianne (Tony) Reed of Aurora, Colo., and Elaine (Dan) Cantu of Tiffin;  six grandchildren, Debbie Reed, Brian (Tammy) Reed, Angie (Todd) Reed, Brad (Julie) Schwab, Lisa Klug, and Cheryl Mawhirter; 12 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Elsesser.

Mrs. Seislove attended Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She retired from General Electric Company after 30 years of service.  Marge enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers, crocheting, knitting, playing cards, square dancing, and visiting the Amish country.

Funeral Mass will be 11 am Thursday, December 23, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  The Rosary will be recited in church 30 minutes prior to Mass.

Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
