Mar Jean Elizabeth Kinn, age 87, formerly of 2139 W. TR 18, Tiffin, died at 11:25 pm Friday, February 15, 2008 in St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born on August 27, 1920 in Willard, Ohio to the late George Carroll and Elizabeth (Finkler) Teeple. On February 22, 1941 in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, she married Vern L. Kinn. He died on August 5, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kadyszewski of Baltimore, Maryland; Jane (Timothy) Davis of Tiffin; a son, Stephen M. Kinn of Woodhaven, Michigan; two grandchildren, Stacey (Jeffrey) Rineer of Perry Hall, Maryland; and Sterling A. Davis of Perrysburg; two great grandchildren, Zachary V. and Tyler J. Rineer; two sisters, Kathleen Fiegelist of Tiffin; and Marilyn Griffin of Newark, Delaware and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents and an infant, twin daughter, Janet Marie Kinn; a brother, John Carroll Teeple; a son-in-law, Vincent W. Kadyszewski and two brothers-in-law, John Fiegelist and William J. Griffin.
Mrs. Kinn was a 1938 St. Wendelin High School graduate. She had been employed at the Joseph Lucius Insurance Agency, the Advertiser-Tribune, and Columbian High School Cafeteria. She retired from the former Tiffin Insurance Agency.
Mar Jean was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she was also a longtime member of the Daughter’s of Isabella.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in St. Mary Catholic Church officiated by Rev. David Ross. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 1-3 pm at St. Francis Home Chapel and then from 6-8 pm at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 7:45 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home.
