Marion A. Frase, 84, of Prospect Street, Tiffin, died at 6:50 a.m. at Ruffing Family Care Center of Tiffin, on Friday, August 27, 2004. He was born in Tiffin on March 2, 1920 to Ernest and Alice Rebecca (Swinehart) Frase. On July 3, 1943 he married Marguerite Sherman at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church. She died on January 28, 2004.
He is survived by one son, Michael (Lunette) Frase, of New Riegel, one daughter, Mrs. George (Mindy) Ford, of Tiffin, and six grandchildren, Betsy Frase, Allison Frase, Mitchell Frase, Molly Frase, Martin Frase, and Matthew Frase; 2 Step Granddaughters, Elizabeth Martini and Geneva Greer; and five Step Great Grandchildren, Jennifer Sheets, Brendan Sheets, Lindsey Martini, Jack Martini, and Vincent Martini.
He was preceded by twin grandsons, Jamie and Jeremy Frase.
Mr. Frase retired in 1985 after 45 years with National Machinery, as an overhead crane operator and tool sharpener. He was a 1940 graduate of Columbian High School and a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. He served his country during World War II as a Navy Seabee. He was a member of the National Machinery Quarter Century Club, Leader and Trustee for Tiffin Boy Rangers from 1950-Present, and a Trustee at Washington Street United Methodist Church.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, where a military graveside service will be held by the United Veteran's Council. Contributions may be made to the Washington Street United Methodist Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
