Marilyn Jean Schreiner Welker, age 66, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Tiffin, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at her residence in Tennessee.
She was born May 19, 1937, in Seneca County, to the late Raymond and Grace (Bangert) Schreiner.
She is survived by four sons, Patrick Lynn (Phyllis) Welker of Donaqua, TN, Daniel Edward Welker of Hermitage, TN, Philip Damien (Deb) Welker of South Wales, United Kingdom, and Paul Anthony (Janet) Welker of Mt. Juliet, TN; one daughter, Linda Ann (Raymond) Simmons of San Angelo, TX; four grandchildren, Kayla Marie Welker, Hailey Jordan Welker, Meagan Kara Simmons, and Joshua Logan Simmons; four step-grandchildren, Amber Michelle Cole, Daniel David Flagg, Chase Jordan Prichard, and Hailey Morgan Prichard; a brother, James Schreiner of Toledo, OH; and three sisters, Theresa (David) Curtis of Ann Arbor, MI, Rita Lucas of Findlay, and Bonnie (Paul) Gatton of Tiffin.
Mrs. Welker was a 1956 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and a 1958 graduate of Providence School of Nursing in Lorain. She was a private duty licensed practical nurse since 1958. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson, Tennessee, and formerly a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She was a member of the Franciscan Order and the Legion of Mary.
Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in Holy Rosary Church in Tennessee. Graveside services will be 10 am Friday, April 30, 2004, in St. Joseph Cemetery, Tiffin, with Msgr. Edward Dunn officiating.
