Mrs. Marie Anna Hartzell, age 78 years, of 313 Wentz Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 10:13 A.M. Sunday, March 14, 2004 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born on October 30, 1925 in Fostoria, Ohio to Urban and Agnes (Werling) Kirian. On June 12, 1948 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married Robert J. Hartzell. He survives.
Also surviving are 3 sons, Joseph (Jane) Hartzell; Peter Hartzell and Stephen Hartzell all of Tiffin; 4 daughters, Agnes (Warren) Welling of Woodville, Ohio; Clara Hartzell of Tiffin; Dorothy (Robert) Robenalt of Tiffin; and Helen (Robert) Guinther of Galion, Ohio; 22 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Alfred and Lewis Kirian both of Tiffin; and John Kirian of Republic, Ohio; 1 sister, Helen Miller of Tiffin. She is preceded by one daughter, Barbara Factor.
Mrs. Hartzell was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society; the Secular Franciscan Order; and for 5 years she prepared the Altar linens and vestments at St. Mary Church.
There will be a Wake Service on Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.
Rev. David M. Ross will celebrate the Funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
