Marie B. (Unterwagner) Lucius

Marie B. “Sis” Lucius, 88, of Tiffin, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at her home with her daughter and family friend by her side.  Marie was born January 8, 1930, in Newark, Ohio to John (Frank) and Gertrude (Keller) Unterwagner.  She married Gilbert F. Lucius, June 10, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He preceded her in death, June 28, 2009.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Lucius of Tiffin; a sister-in-law, Joyce Bremyer, of Port Clinton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marie was a 1948 Calvert High School graduate.  She worked at Mercy Hospital, Fleck Co., and The Advertiser-Tribune.  She owned My Fair Lady Hair Salon.  Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.  She had many interests, such as traveling and cruising with her husband and daughter, planting her flowers, doing volunteer work and baking.

Special thanks to Lisa and Jody O’Millian, without whose loving care, support, and help the last three years would not have been possible, and to Bridge Hospice for all their care and compassion; they all are just like family.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m.  Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate.  The Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to the Mass.  Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, F.A.C.T., or Bridge Hospice.
