Margrit Siemon, 84, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away at 10:55 pm Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, where she had been a resident for several years.
Mrs. Siemon was born November 13, 1919, in Bern, Switzerland, to the late John and Ida (Knecht) Zahler. She was one of a family of fourteen brothers and sisters, ten of whom emigrated with her to the United States in 1925. Surviving are: Four sisters, Clara Hartzell, Emma Bachman, & Paula Warner, all of the Akron area, and Johanna Gardine of Miami, Florida; a daughter, Jean (Scalera) Wilson of Tiffin, a son, Vincent Scalera of Akron, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She will be cremated and no services are planned in Tiffin. A memorial service is planned in Akron at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Autumnwood Care Center, 670 E. SR 18, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, where she received such loving care over the years.
