Margaret U. Friemoth, age 95, formerly of 114 Coe St., Tiffin, died at 6 am Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Elmwood at the Shawhan, Tiffin.
Margaret was born December 2, 1912, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Albert H. and Rose E. (Scheeter) Omlor. On June 11, 1941, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married Arthur J. Friemoth, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dr. Angela Herring of Newport News, Va, and Jeanette (Enver C.) Wolfe of Blue Rock, Ohio; several nephews, Edward (Sandy) Steinmetz, David (Gail) Steinmetz, Daniel (Karen) Steinmetz, Steve (Marlene) Omlor, Pete (Melitte) Omlor; and a niece, Sister Jane Frances Omlor.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Bernard Omlor, and a sister, Mary Agnes Steinmetz.
Mrs. Friemoth was a 1930 graduate of Calvert High School and attended the Toledo Teachers College. She retired as a teacher at St. Joseph School and also taught CCD at St. Mary’s School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society, the Poor Souls Society, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and the Ladies’ Sewing Club. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and was active in the Catholics United for the Faith.
The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Thursday, August 21, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The Rosary will be recited in Church at 10:15 am Thursday.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
