Margaret Mary Herig, age 92, formerly of Coe St., Tiffin, died at 11 am Monday, May 30, 2011, at St. Francis Home.
She was born November 23, 1918, in Bascom, to Otto and Amelia (Kinn) Reinhart. She married Fred L. Herig March 30, 1937 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he died May 23, 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory (Beverly) Herig of Maumee, and Paul (Margaret) Herig of Chaumont, NY; a daughter, Patricia Roessner of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Marion Reinhart, a sister, Alma Bishop, and a grandson, Noah Roessner.
Mrs. Herig attended Calvert High School, was a homemaker, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113, with a wake service at 3:45 pm. Visitation will also be 10:30 am to 11:30 am Thursday, followed by the funeral Mass at 11:30 am, at St. Francis Home Chapel, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
