Margaret C. (Stuckey) “Blondie” Creeger, age 92, formerly of W. Market Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 9:55 am Saturday, February 10, 2007 at her daughter Peg Snyder’s residence in Tiffin. She was born on August 28, 1914 in Bloomville, Ohio to the late Willard and Ida (Laipply) Stuckey. In 1933 she married Gerald Creeger. They later divorced and he is deceased.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna (Vernon) Schubert of Republic, Ohio; Peg Snyder of Tiffin; and Gloria (Donald) Snyder of Bowling Green, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Ms. Creeger is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Doyle, Daniel, Forest, and Wilbur Stuckey; one sister, Mildred Jones.
Margaret was a 1932 Bloomville High School graduate. She retired in 1979 after 38 years as a wheel maker at Sterling-ITT Abrasives, in Tiffin. She was a member of the Fort Seneca United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose, the Eagles and VFW Auxiliaries. She had been a volunteer transporter for First Step and F.I.S.H.
Funeral Services will be officiated by Rev. Barry Bordenkircher at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
NOTE: BURIAL AT WOODLAWN CEMETERY, BLOOMVILLE, WILL BE HELD AT 2 PM FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2007.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
