Madeline R. Staib Anderson, 87, of Tiffin, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born July 7, 1936, in Tiffin, to Bernard and Ellen (Borer) Fleck. She married Richard Anderson, November 1, 2021, in Tiffin, and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard (Valerie) Staib of Jackson, Mich., John Staib of Colorado Springs, Col., and Tony (Karen) Staib of Gahanna; a daughter, Cheryl Staib-Lewis of Tiffin; three, step-daughters, Jane (Paul) Lyons of Ottawa Hills, Sarah Tomlinson, of Easton Pennsylvania, Karen (Tony) Staib of Gahanna; four step-sons, John (Clare) Anderson, of Vienna, Virginia, Paul (Patty) Anderson of Columbus, Pete (Lisa) Anderson of Bay Village, and Mike Anderson of Tiffin; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol Hossler, Bernadette Smith, both of Tiffin, and Sue Hart of Bradenton, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Jack R. Staib.
Madeline was a 1954 graduate of Calvert High School and worked for 14 years in the retail and secretarial fields. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Over the years, she and Dick enjoyed many trips with J. B. Tours.
Visitation for family and friends will be 12-1 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
