Mable M. Putnam, 100, of Green Springs, died at 6:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Spring Creek Nursing Home, Green Springs.
Mable was born August 27, 1920, in New Riegel, to Albert and Veronica (Nick) Zender. She married Cyril J. Kirian August 3, 1940, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown, and he died in 1950.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Paul) Burdette of Green Springs, Rebecca (Dennis) Brown of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Jody Shetzer, Amy (Rick) Rosenberger, Ryan (Holly) Brown, Kim (Jose) Esnard; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Esther Schluttenhofer of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a son, Larry J. Kirian; five sisters, Helen Zimmerman, Pearl Thiry, Florence Kuhn, Mildred Hall, Velma Strahm; four brothers, Ralph, Earl, Woodrow, and Eugene Zender, and a grandson-in-law, Daniel Shetzer.
Mable had attended New Riegel High School, was a homemaker, and worked at Mercy Hospital and the gift shop at the New Riegel Café. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, formerly of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown.
Visitation will be private.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2021, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Frenchtown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Stein Hospice.
