Lynn M. Giebel, 73, of Tiffin, died peacefully at 10: 20 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay knowing that she was beyond loved, comforted and surrounded by her family. She was born June 24, 1948, in Fremont to Harry C. and Mary Ellen (Logsdon) Cooley. She was happily married for 53 years to Thomas O. Giebel. They married Feb. 24, 1968, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Fremont, and he survives.
Other survivors include two daughters that she loved dearly, Kelly L. Stocker and Kerry S. Feindel (Dean Snavely) both of Tiffin; three grandchildren that she was so proud of, Kylie L. Stocker (Matthew Skeel), Connor T. Stocker (Alyssa McDannell) and Corey T. Feindel all of Tiffin; two sisters, Gail (John) Falter of Clyde, Lisa (James) Szykovitz of Fremont; three brothers, Mark (Sandy) Cooley, Jeff Cooley, Chris Cooley, all of Fremont, and her pet dog, Millie.
Lynn graduated in 1966, from St. Joseph High School, Fremont. She attended St. Rita’s School of Nursing in Lima, and she graduated from Stauzenberger College of Nursing. She worked as a route driver, cashier and office manager at Canteen Corporation in Tiffin from 1978-1997. She also was a Licensed Practical Nurse working as a staff nurse at Mercy Hospital, St. Francis Nursing Home, Sunrise Assisted Living, Personal Touch Deliveries, and Med-One Nursing. She retired from the Genecology Office of Dr. Wesley Hedges.
She enjoyed crafts, artificial flower arranging for all seasons. Lynn enjoyed traveling and escorting along with her husband on the many tours and cruises throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska and Europe.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her sister, Gail Falter, the entire staff of St. Francis Nursing Home, the staff of the Intensive Critical Care Unit of Blanchard Valley Hospital --especially her nurse Teresa and Dr. Rachel Fruth, NP, NOMS Clinic. All extended loving care this past year.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)447-3113. A private burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
