Luke Eugene Wise, 58, of Republic, died at 10:45 p.m. on December 20, 2000 at his residence. He was born on November 8, 1942 to Henry John and Loretta (Roth) Wise in Tiffin.
Other survivors include 2 brothers, Ambrose and Jim Wise and 4 sisters, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Kimmet, Sr. M. Catherine Wise, RSM, Mrs. James (Imelda) Clouse, and Mrs. Bernard (Alma) Wurm.
He was preceded by 2 brothers, Louis and Bernard Wise and 3 sisters, Adaline Heitz, Kathleen Wise, and Henrietta Wise.
He was a Calvert High School graduate and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Republic. He worked as a Restorative Aide at St. Catherine's Care Center in Tiffin.
There will be a Wake Service at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral Mass and burial will take place immediately following the Mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
