Louise C. Lutes Reinhart, 90, formerly of 22 S. Perry Street, New Riegel, died at 6:56 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2004, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin. She was born on March 1, 1914 in New Riegel, Ohio, to Elmer C. and Oliva (Elchert) Ulman. Her mother died in 1974 and her father died in 1981. She married Robert Reinhart in 1980. He died in 1984.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene (Sharon) Lutes of Tiffin and Robert (Jean) Lutes of New Reigel; one daughter, Marie (John) Humphreys, of Maumee; two step sons, Howard (Susie) Reinhart of Tiffin and Bernard (Norma) Reinhart of Alvada; two step daughters, Rita (Art) Reinhart of Fostoria and Sally (John) Rumschlag of New Riegel; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren and one brother, Harold (Ruthann) Ulman of New Riegel.
She was preceded by one daughter, Diane Miller; two sisters, Dorothy Snyder and Viola Montpetit, and one brother, Raymond Ulman.
Mrs. Reinhart was a 1932 New Riegel High School graduate and retired in 1982 after working 26 years at the New Riegel Cafe. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel and had been a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the New Riegel Moose Ladies, American Legion Auxiliary, was on the Board of St. Francis Home; Tiffin Senior Citizens; A.A.R.P. of Fostoria; Democratic Central Committee Person at New Riegel, and an avid card player. She was the founder of the New Riegel Card Players.
There will be a Ladies Moose and American Legion Auxiliary Service at 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon and a Parish Wake Service will be at 7:45 p.m. Thursday evening. The Rosary will be recited in church fifteen minutes prior to the Funeral Mass on Friday morning. Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in the parish cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Boniface Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
