Louis W. “Ace” Ribble, 68, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and formerly of Marion, Ohio, died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Hope Hospice, Lehigh Acres.
Louis was born November 13, 1953, in Marion, to Frank Von Dale and Mary Kathryn (Zirger) Ribble. He married Brenda J. Coppus, September 2, 2009, at Sanibel Island, FL. and she survives in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Survivors include a son, Alex (Cristina) Ribble of Powell; two daughters, Angela Baughman, of Dublin, Ohio, Lauren (Terry) Wallace of Maumee, two step-daughters, Nicole (Neil) Podach of Findlay, and Stephanie (Bobby) Willis, of Mansfield; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Louis was a graduate of Ridgedale High School in Morral, and he attended Ohio State University. He retired from the CSX Railroad after 30 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed music, an Ohio State fan, and he and Brenda had a love for travel. He treasured spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
A funeral liturgy service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
