Loretta Mary Klopp, age 96, formerly of 7 W. Market Street, Tiffin, died at 9:52 pm Monday, August 18, 2008 in St. Francis Home. She was born on January 20, 1912 to the late Vincent J. and Rosa L. (Smith) Benner. On August 17, 1940 in Folansbee, West Virginia, she married Henry Arthur Klopp. He died December 5, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Arthur (Linda) Klopp of Tiffin; and a daughter, Ruth Ann (Floyd) Davis of Fostoria; four grandchildren, Bryan Ink, Jared Ink, Monica Leonard and Sarah Klopp, nine great grandchildren, and two sisters, Lavina B. Musser of Tiffin; and Luella Brady of Kerrville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Otto, Eugene and Robert Benner, a sister, Leona Immele.
Mrs. Klopp had retired from Tiffin Glass Company and had also worked at Floom and Fleck Company. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, shopping, visiting and her grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Father Gary Walters at 10:00am Friday, August 22, 2008 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited in church 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. There will be a Wake Service at 3:45 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
