Loretta C. Goshe, age 74, of rural Tiffin, made her journey to Heaven to live eternally with our Lord, at 8:15 am, Thursday, November 10, 2005, at her home.
She was born September 12, 1931, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Earl Francis and Loretta (Cook) Depinet. On June 26, 1954, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Fred U. Goshe, who survives.
Other survivors include her children, Phyllis Goshe-Hall of Bloomville, Gene (Barb) Goshe, and Bob (Jenny) Goshe, both of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Elaine Goshe and Mildred Schoen, both of Tiffin, Beatrice Smith of Attica, and Audrey Hart of Missouri; three brothers, Bernard Depinet of Tiffin, Thomas and Kenneth Depinet, both of Bloomville; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Raymond Goshe, and a brother, Carl “Louie” Depinet.
A homemaker, Loretta graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School in 1949. She worked at Gem Manufacturing in Bascom and General Electric in Bellevue. She also did housekeeping. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and its Rosary Altar Society. Her hobbies were gardening, crocheting, playing cards, and loving her grandchildren and family.
We will celebrate her life with a funeral Mass, to be celebrated at 10 am Monday, November 14, 2005, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Timothy Ferris officiating. Entombment will be in the Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at the Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 pm Sunday at the funeral home, and the Rosary will be recited in the church at 9:45 am Monday.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Church, Community Hospice Care, or F.A.C.T. (Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment), in lieu of flowers.
