Lois Ann (Welly) Loesser

Lois Ann Loesser, 85, of Tiffin, died at 7:44 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.   She was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Frenchtown, to Marion and Evelyn (Tiell) Welly.  On April 25, 1953, she married Paul E. Loesser at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel and he survives.

Other survivors include a son, Chad (Margaret) Loesser, of Tiffin; three daughters, Bev (Greg) Herig of Maumee, Shel Loesser of Tiffin, and Sandi (Robert) Gambescia of Snellville, Georgia; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Louise Kramer.

Lois was a 1950 graduate of New Riegel High School.  She was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Crazy Lady Club.  She enjoyed traveling, crocheting and her cats.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S., Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.  A wake service will be at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Her nephew, Rev. Scott Kramer will officiate.  The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Foundation or to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine.
