Lillian Rose Streacker, age 77, of Tiffin, Ohio, died at 1:45 pm Friday, May 7, 2004, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born September 11, 1926, in New York, New York, to the late Anthony and Antoinette (Vydra) Novy. On May 11, 1946, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New York City, New York, she married Herbert A. Streacker. He died October 9, 1981.
Surviving are four sons, Robert (Shelly) Streacker of Tampa, Florida, William (Nerita) Streacker and John (Paula) Streacker, both of Tiffin, and Kenneth (Becki) Streacker of Brookings, Oregon; four daughters, Susan (Jack) Wittenmyer of Novato, Calif., Elizabeth Geiger of Toledo, Ohio, Marilyn (Phillip) Gangluff of Tiffin, and Julie (Christopher) Holmes of Brunswick, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas & William Novy, three half-brothers, Joseph and Frederick Novy, and Lardy Novak, and two half-sisters, Marie Neidzeckas and Helen Novak.
Mrs. Streacker was a graduate of the Julia Richman High School in Manhattan, New York, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, where she was a past president of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, a charter member of the Tiffin Mothers of Twins Club, which she helped form in 1954 and served as its president from 1956-1957. She was “Mother of the Year” in 1962 and represented the Tiffin club at the state level.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tiffin. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Church for Masses, or to Calvert High School, Tiffin.
