Leila R. Caldwell, age 94, formerly of Minerva St., Tiffin, Ohio, died at 2:45 am, Saturday, April 28, 2007, at St. Francis Home.
She was born December 8, 1912, in Sandusky County, Ohio, to the late Myrle B. and Muriel Ida (Myers) Havens. On November 14, 1930, she married John J. Semer, who preceded her in death. She then married Dwight D. Caldwell, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia (Richard) Distel of Tiffin and Ardath (Don) Wilson of Proctorville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Brett, Brenda and Larry Wilson; Valerie Clouse; James Semer, II; and Brian Semer; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Semer.
Mrs. Caldwell was a clerk at Newberry’s Department Store, retiring after twenty years.
Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Scott Twp., Sandusky County. Friends may call 2-6 pm Monday, April 30 at the funeral home.
