Laura J. Kiesel, 82, of Tiffin, died 11a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Birchaven Nursing Home, Findlay. She was born March 14, 1934 in Tiffin to Herman and Mary (Culver) Gahris. She married Ralph Samuel Kiesel, July 31, 1954, in Tiffin. He died February 22, 2014.
Survivors include a son, Jay Samuel (Coleen Lewis) Kiesel of Findlay; a foster son, Fred Woodward of Gray, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Celiscia (Thomas) Cline, Jacob (Carrie) Kiesel and Joshua (Clare) Kiesel; three great grandchildren, Aviya, Ethan and Liana Cline.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Robert and George Gahris.
Laura was a 1952 Columbian High School graduate. She retired as a secretary for the Tiffin City Schools for more than 30 years, mostly at Krout Elementary School. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 9419) 447-3113. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from noon until time of services.
Rev. Eric Rummel will officiate services, with burial following in Pleasant Ridge (Egbert) Cemetery, rural Tiffin.
