LaDonna Arnold of Tiffin, age 76, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at 9:05 A.M. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. LaDonna and Lewis Arnold were married on October 25, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky. This month would mark their 58th wedding anniversary.
A native of Fostoria, LaDonna Rader was born on April 8, 1929, to Alta (Paugh) and Franklin Rader and graduated from Fostoria High School in 1947. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cozetta Daring. She has two sisters residing in Fostoria, Garlyn (William) Saldusky and Phyllis Richard.
LaDonna’s greatest trademark was her cooking and homemaking, and she was well known for her cookies and baked goods. She was a stay-at-home mom who lovingly cared with Lewis for their four children, Sandra (Greg) Scott of Bascom; Chris (Jane) Arnold, LuAnn (Mark) Tooley, & Lori (Mark) Grine, all of Tiffin; She was also very proud of her twelve grandchildren: Janell Scott, Jodi (Dave) Barnett, Alicia Arnold, Aaron (Amber) Scott, Jaclyn Tooley, Adam Arnold, Nicole Tooley, Tiffany Grine, Austin Arnold, Jason Tooley, Kelsey Grine, and Kaleb Grine.
The Arnolds have been faithful members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, for fifty-one years. LaDonna had been ill with Alzheimer’s Disease for several years and has resided at Elmwood at the Shawhan Care Center for the past twenty-two months.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, October 21, 2005, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery, rural Tiffin. Friends may call Thursday, October 20, from 4 to 9 pm, at the Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church or to The Alzheimer’s Association.
