Kent David Nord, 47, of Bloomville, died at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday, June, 23, 2015, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital emergency room. He was born June 20, 1968, in Upper Sandusky to Oscar Neale and Janice (Wagner) Nord. He married Dawn L. Richards October 27, 1999, on Little Palm Island, Fla. and she survives.
Other survivors include, his mother, Janice Nord and Jim Alberts, of Tiffin; a daughter, Gabrielle (German) Izaguirre of Rexburg, Idaho; two brothers, Steven (Lisa) Nord of Huntington, W. VA. and Todd (Nancy) Nord of Saginaw, Mich; a nephew, Michael (Katie) Nord of Shelby Township, Mich. and two nieces, Jennifer ( Kevin) Oakley of Grove City and Hannah Nord of Traverse City, Mich. and parents-in-law, Dave (Carolyn) Richards of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Neale; and an infant son, Theron David Nord.
Kent was a 1986 graduate of Columbian High School, a graduate of Wittenberg University and also a graduate of the University of Toledo Law School. Kent was a practicing attorney in Tiffin since 1995. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tiffin. He was very active in his community and his church, and was an advocate for children of Tiffin and Seneca County. He was also an instructor for the Locked and Loaded gun safety class.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113 and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 570 E Spayth St, Tiffin
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29 at the church. Burial will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville.
