Keith David Ward, age 56 of Minerva Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 10:12 am, Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay, Ohio due to complications during surgery.
He was born on May 25, 1952 in Tiffin to the late Ervin and Geraldine (Askam) Ward. On June 12, 1971 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin he married the love of his life, Darleen Carter and she survives.
Other survivors include, two sons, Chad (Sherry) Ward of Nevada, Ohio; Aaron (Nan) Ward of Tiffin; a daughter, Tosha (Mike) Mongeau of Republic; four grandchildren, Logan and Lorna Mongeau, Aubrey and Kaylee Ward; three brothers, Tim Ward, Randy Ward both of Tiffin; Doug Ward of Kentucky; a sister, Diane Ward of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Ward and Lonnie Ward, a sister, Connie Vance, a half-brother Jim Ward and a grandson, Chanc Mongeau.
Keith was a Columbian High School graduate, and he had attended Tiffin University. He served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. He worked at Mills Metals in Upper Sandusky and he had previously worked at Madison Motors for 27 years as a tow truck driver.
Keith was an avid sportsman, playing softball for many years. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved Lake Erie and the outdoors. He enjoyed camping at the lake with his family and friends. His real passion was spending time with his children, grandchildren and wife.
Friends and family may visit from 2-8 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The United Veteran’s of Seneca County will perform military honors at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
There will be no funeral.
