Kay F. (Heising) Huss

Kay F. Huss, 81, of Tiffin, died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Good Shepherd Home Fostoria. Kay was born October 27, 1938, in Tiffin to Raymond and Mary Alice (Barlekamp) Heising. Her mother survives in Tiffin. She married Don E. Huss September 27, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he died May 8, 2014.

Survivors include a son, John Huss of Tiffin; two daughters, Joan (Rob) Ledwedge of Tiffin, Krista Huss of Fostoria; two grandchildren, Andy Ledwedge, Jillian Ledwedge; two brothers, Chris (Cindy) Heising of Tiffin, Bill Heising of Fremont; a sister, Carole (Claude) LeBlanc of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and infant twin sisters.

Kay was a 1956 Columbian High School graduate, and worked at Ohio Bell as a telephone operator, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She dedicated most of her life caring for her daughter, Krista. She was a member of the Josephine’s, the Parent Council for the Seneca County Opportunity Center, Red Hat Society Crimson Cutie, the President of Town and Country Garden Club, Coordinator for the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days. She was an avid painter and gardener, and won multiple blue ribbons for flower arranging at the Seneca County Fair.

Visitation for family and friends will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at St. Joseph
Catholic Church followed by the Mass at 10 a.m.  Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate.  The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.  Private burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Opportunity Center Parent Council and to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
