Kathryn M. Warnement, age 95, formerly of CR 54 Tiffin died at 9:20 pm Monday, November 13, 2006 in St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born on February 28, 1911 to the late Daniel F. and Corrine (Durst) Kennedy, Sr. On June 14, 1932 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married Cecil C. Warnement. He died on November 2, 1998.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Joann) Warnement of Tiffin; four daughters, Kathleen (Herman) Tiell, Dorothy Brickner, Marjorie (Gerald) Brickner, both of Tiffin; and Betty (David) Batey, of Fremont, 24 Grandchildren; 51 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Kennedy, Jr.; one sister, Mary Ellen Seifert; an infant son, Joseph Warnement, and 3 great grandsons; Joshua & Jonathan Brickner, and Austin Henry.
Mrs. Warnement was a 1928 Calvert High School graduate. She had retired in 1985 after 34 years as a cook at St. Mary’s School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Catholic ladies of Columbia, Daughters of Isabella, the Rosary Altar Society, and Catholic Ladies Bowling League. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Bingo. Sunday night suppers and Christmas were her special times with her family.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Dan Ring and Rev. Frank Murd at 11:00 am, Friday, November 17, 2006 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake Service will be at 3:45 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Calvert Foundation or St. Mary Catholic Church in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
