Joyce M. (Ferrall) (McCormack) Peck, 84, of Fostoria, died at 10:50 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont.
She was born September 29, 1937, in Tiffin to Wilbur and Marcella (Daniel) Ferrall. Joyce married Robert McCormack, Sr. in 1957, and they later divorced. She then married Harold Peck in 1992, and both are deceased.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth (Jeff) Miccichi of Delaware; three sons, Brian (Tamra ) McCormack of Ward, South Carolina; Brad (Suzanne) McCormack of St. Augustine, Florida; Eric (Robin) McCormack of Bascom; a daughter-in-law, Michelle McCormack of Bascom, two step-sons, Timothy (Teresa) Peck of Norton, Mark (Jan) Peck of New Riegel; eight grandchildren, Erin Grieser, Shaun Miccichi, Ben Miccichi, Kellie Fields, Marcie Roudybush, Nate McCormack, Nick McCormack and Shealy McCormack; nine step-grandchildren, David Peck, Joe Peck, Julie Peck, Derek Peck, Rachael Skiffy, Tori Tyree, Shelby Wagner, Casey Squires and Kristen Giddings; 24 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jane Sweeney of Sylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son, Robert McCormack, Jr., a sister, Ann Goetz, two brothers-in-law, Tom Goetz and Fred Sweeney, and a great-grandson, Blake Tyree.
Joyce was a 1955 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School. She received a Bachelor of Science of Education degree from Bowling Green State University. She taught for 33 years, first at New Riegel, and 24 years at Hopewell-Loudon Schools, and retired from there in 2000. She was a member of All Saints Parish formerly St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom where she taught CCD for several years and helped with funeral dinners.
Joyce loved all of her family dearly. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, travel, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bascom.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Cemetery Fund, or to the Sharing Kitchen either in Tiffin or Fostoria.
