Joseph W. Weisenberger died at 1;35 A.M. Friday, March 16, 2001 at Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. He was born to Edward Joseph and Evelyn (Huth) Weisenberger. His mother survives in Tiffin. He married Margaret Lorentz on April 25, 1953 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiffin. She survives in Tiffin. Other survivors include 3 sons, Edward J. Weisenberger of UpperArlington, Ohio, Joseph P. Weisenberber of West Lake, Ohio, michael Weisenberger of Tiffin, and Wendy C. Klopp of Mesa, Arizona. 9 Grandchildren, 1 brother, john E. Weisenberger of Hinsdale, Illinois, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Dale (Ruth) Gerber of Tiffin, and Mrs. Norbert (Jean) Gosche of Tiffin.
Mr. Weisenberger was a 1948 graduate of Calvert High School. He retired after 34 years of service as a communications systems technician for A. T. & T.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion Post 169, AmVets Life Member Post 48, Eagles 401, VFW 2858 Life Member, Moose 846, Life Member of Elks 94 and the Pioneer Club.
There will be no visitation or services. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, or to Community Hospice Care of Tiffin.
