Joseph W. Shook, age 77, of Tiffin, Ohio, died January 22, 2002. He was born in Bascom, Ohio, on July 14, 1924, to Eber and Nettie (Emerine) Shook. On December 2, 1950, in St. Joseph Church, he married Phylis M. Kirchner, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Joseph W. Shook and wife Mendy, David C. Shook and wife Julie, a daughterd, Rebecca E. Botton and husband John, a sister, Leota Mears, and 8 granddaughters. 4 brothers and 4 sisters are deceased. Mr. Shook was a graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria, Ohio, and was an Army veteran of WWII. He retired in 1982 after 32 years at National Machinery Company, Tiffin. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Quarter Century Club. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ecumenical Sharing Kitchen, the church, or to the donor's choice.
