Josephine Corrine Theresa (Bouillon) Kimmet, 88, of New Riegel, died at 8 pm Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born April 24, 1929, in New Riegel, to Joseph Edward and Corrine Josephine (Frankart) Bouillon. She married Ralph J. Kimmet April 17, 1952, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and he preceded her in death June 18, 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith “Judy” (Michael) Hayes, and Virginia “Ginny” (David) Bursa, both of Tiffin; four sons, Gerard (Mary) Kimmet of New Riegel, Greg (Fran) Kimmet of New Riegel, Duane (Jeanie) Kimmet of Clyde, and Dan (Holly) Kimmet of Sycamore; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren with one on the way, a brother, Gerald (JoAnn) Bouillon of Tiffin, two sisters, Doris (Ralph) Lortz of Carey, and Mary Ellen (Carl) Hoffman of Burgoon; and three sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Bouillon, Rita Bouillon, and Anna Elchert, all of New Riegel.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Edmund “Jim”, Carl, Brother Rene’, Floyd, and Harold Bouillon, as well as an infant brother, and a sister, Theresa Bouillon.
Mrs. Kimmet was a 1947 graduate of New Riegel High School. She was a homemaker who also worked at Sears Roebuck, Tiffin, St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and the New Riegel School cafeteria. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, a lifetime member of Edward Grine Post #354 American Legion Auxiliary, All Saints Rosary Altar Society, and New Riegel Right to Life. She was an avid seamstress and crocheter and a member of the Blanket Makers and the Prayer Shawl Ministries.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113.
Visitation will also be 10 to 11 am Friday, February 16, at All Saints Parish, with the funeral Mass following at 11 am. Rev. Timothy Kummerer will officiate, with burial to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, New Riegel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Riegel Right to Life, All Saints Parish, or Bridge Hospice.
