Jordan Edward Powell, 27, of Bowling Green, formerly of Tiffin, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his residence.

Jordan was born Nov. 1, 1988 to Randall J. Powell of Baltimore, Maryland and Mary (Fox) Pridemore of Clyde.

Survivors include his parents; his step-father, Tim Pridemore; two brothers, Gabriel Pridemore of Clyde, Brandon Pridemore of Northglenn, Colorado; a sister, Brooke Pridemore of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandmothers, Shelby Powell of Portsmouth, Betty Pridemore of Clyde; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ernest and Protase Fox and paternal grandfather, Jack Powell.

Jordan was a 2007 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, and attended Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of Delta Lambda Phi fraternity.  He was a job coach, and was also employed by Woodlane Residential Services for the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Jordan enjoyed hiking and travel.

Jordan had authored this bit of advice, which sums up his outlook during his short time here on earth: “I think the trick to understanding the world is to realize you’re just one of the 7 billion people alive who all have unique experiences and perspectives. Most things are pretty relative, there are few absolutes. So spend your life listening and learning. Surround yourself with people who challenge you and help you grow. Accept that you can’t know everything and thus aren’t always right. Being ignorant isn’t a bad thing, it’s an opportunity to learn. Accept your weaknesses but don’t be coy about your strengths. We all have something to teach each other. Figure out what that is instead of focusing on the things you don’t agree on. Be kind. Be respectful. Be empathetic. Be honest. Be accountable. You’ll do just fine.”

Visitation will be at 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2016 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113.
