John Urban Lucius, age 84 years, of Vine Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 2:50 AM Sunday, June 26, 2005, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on March 6, 1921 in New Riegel, Ohio to Peter and Catherine (Kirian) Lucius. He was married to Regina Lucius and they later divorced. On June 23, 2005, he married Dorothy Minzer Robinson Lucius in Tiffin. She survives. Also surviving are daughter, Maryann Bakies of New Riegel, 4 Step Children, Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren as well as several Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lucius, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Lucius retired in 1989 as a truck driver for RDS Mowery Trucking. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army.
Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel, with the United Veteran’s of Seneca County conducting military honors. Contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.
