John Albert Stritt, age 96, of Cherry Ave., Tiffin died at 3:55 P.M., Sunday, August 22, 2010 at St. Francis Home.
John was born March 2, 1914 in Tiffin to the late Urban and Laura (Smith) Stritt.
He married Rose Marie Fraley June 21, 1941 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin; she preceded him in death on July 20, 2008.
He is survived by one son, John J. “Joe” Stritt, of Grand Prairie, Texas; and one grandchild, Daniel Stritt of Norman, Okla.
John was a 1932 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. He retired as a truck driver for Mohawk Motors; he then worked for J.J. Fleck Warehouse. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Tiffin, the Knights of Columbus, the Teamsters and he was a Life Member of the Elks.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. Francis Home Chapel. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 A.M. with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery.
