John A. Kinzey, age 89, formerly of Mohawk Street, Tiffin died at 11:25 AM, Monday February 2, 2009 at St. Francis Home.
John was born July 30, 1919 in Wayne, Ohio to the late Harvey and Daisy (Reichman) Kinzey. On June 18, 1949 he married Charlene J. Kreuz. She died May 3, 2008.
Survivors include; one daughter, Lori M. Kinzey of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Gregory Williams of Fairfax, VA, Sara Williams of Toledo, William O. Williams, John Williams and Joseph A. Zepeda all of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristina Williams; three brothers, Arley, George, and Donald Kinzey; and two sisters, Mildred Morrison and Erma Hutchins.
John retired from the Seneca Wire Company of Fostoria, Ohio. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in Italy and Africa. He was a member of St. Joseph Church of Tiffin.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday February 10, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, Fostoria, with military rites conducted by the Veteran’s of Fostoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church.
