John Denzil Smith

John D. Smith, 70, of Tiffin, died at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Bridge Hospice Care, Findlay.

John was born November 1, 1946, in West Union, West Virginia to Guy d. and Annabelle (Dotson) Smith. He married Judy Owens January 27, 1972, in West Virginia and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include a son, John Michael Smith at home, two daughters, Kimberly (John) O’Flaherty, Lisa (Gregory) Abrams both of Tiffin; two grandchildren, James Abrams and Hartley Abrams; and a brother, Richard A. Smith of West Union, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John was a graduate of Dodridge County High School in West Virginia and retired from the Taiho Corporation in 2009 as an inspector.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113 followed by a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. officiated by Rev. Cynthia Morrison.
