JoAnn F. Bouillon, 94, of Tiffin, died at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
JoAnn was born November 10, 1924, in Tiffin to Carl L. and Mercedes (Goetz) Steinmetz. She married Gerald E. “Jerry” Bouillon May 9, 1947, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and he died July 8, 2018.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A.(Butch) Bish of Burgoon; four sons, Ronald J. Bouillon of Tiffin, Robert A. (Diana) Bouillon of New Riegel, Raymond E.(Joyce) Bouillon of Tiffin, Richard C.(Dorothy) Bouillon of Alvada;15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two arriving this summer; a brother, Charles (Jan) Steinmetz of Greensboro, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband; three brothers, Wilfred, Donald and John Steinmetz, two sisters, Dorothy Gabel and Margaret Saalman.
JoAnn worked at Golden Acres Turkey Farm for 25½ years and Oberlin Processing for 16 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, and enjoyed making calendars, sewing and cooking. JoAnn was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flower gardens and living the life of a farm family. She did all kinds of needle work and enjoyed family gatherings. JoAnn loved decorating for Christmas and other holidays.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)-447-3113, with a wake service at 8 p.m. There will be another visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
