Joan Catherine Gibson, age 74, of Tiffin, Ohio, died at 1:15 pm Monday, May 3, 2004, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin. She was born September 16, 1929, in Tiffin, to the late Nelson and Helen (Unger)Fox. On April 15, 1953, in Tiffin, she married Wayne Kenneth Gibson, and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diane and her husband Tim Below, and their son, Ethan, of Tiffin; a brother, Don Fox of Sycamore, Ohio; two sisters, Joyce Layne of Findlay, Ohio, and Mary Jane Fox of Tiffin.
Mrs. Gibson was a graduate of Columbian High School and was retired from the office of Murphy's in downtown Tiffin. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, and was an avid hunter and square dancer in her younger years.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Richard Hofmann officiating. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation, or to the Arthritis Foundation.
