Joan C. Heyman of 11 Birchwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio died at 7:22 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2004. She was born on March, 4, 1926 in McCutchenville, Ohio to Joseph and Minne (Wolf) Bookmyer. On April 19, 1947 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin she married Robert L. Heyman. He survives.
Other survivors include 1 son, James Heyman of Tiffin; 3 daughters, Beverly Hoffman, of Hobe Sound FL; Mrs. Don (Barbara) Kin and Deborah Heyman both of Tiffin, 7 Grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joseph Bookmyer, Jr. of Tiffin and Bernard Bookmyer of Saginaw, MI; 3 sisters, Marcella Bookmyer and Jean Molino both of Royal Palm Beach, FL; and Beatrice Scales of Los Angeles, CA.
Preceding her in death are 2 sisters, Arlene Kisseberth and Mildred Beier; and 1 brother, Roland Bookmyer.
Mrs. Heyman was a graduate of McCutchenville High School and attended Tiffin University.
She had been a secretary at Wright-Patterson, in Dayton, Ohio. She had also worked at Tiffin Bake Shop from 1974-1986. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Funeral Mass at the church. Burial will follow immediately after the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
