Jerome A. Keller, 84 of Tiffin, died at 9:31pm Sunday, March 23, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born on July 14, 1923 in Tiffin to the late Louis and Bertha (Clay) Keller. On July 26, 1949, Mr. Keller married Ann Straub in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.
Mr. Keller is survived by his wife; son Phillip (Ann) Keller of New Philadelphia, Ohio; daughter Jacqueline Keller of Toledo, Ohio; grandson Drew Keller; and two sisters, Madlyn Miller of Norwalk, Ohio and Mary (Art) Floyd of Tiffin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Keller, Louis Keller, John Keller, and Robert Keller; and five sisters, Sr. Flora Therese, Gertrude Unterwagner, Eleanor Nye, Agnes Whittenburg, Angela Keller.
Mr. Keller was a graduate of Calvert High School and attended Heidelberg College. Mr. Keller also graduated from the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Keller was a timekeeper and lathe operator at National Machinery and retired after 46 years of service there. He was a member of the American Legion, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW, Amvets, Quarter Century Club, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin with the Rev. Joe Szybka officiating. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery.
