Jenot S. Sue Poland, age 64 of Union Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 9:10 am Friday, February 9, 2007 in St. Vincent’s Mercy-Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born on June 6, 1942 in Tiffin to the late Floyd J. and Florence (Jenot) Hayes, Sr. She had been previously married to Robert Poland and also to Blaine Guhn.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Berta) Poland of Tiffin; and Eric (Amy) Poland of Willard, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joan Poland, Bo Poland, Julianne Poland, Alexandria (Lexi) Poland, Austin Poland and Erica Poland; three brothers, Robert (Gloria) Hayes, Floyd J. (Kathy) Hayes, Jr., and Michael (Judy) Hayes all of Tiffin; four sisters, Diane Zellner of Bloomville; Mary (Richard) Jentgen of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Kathy (Jesus) Almendarez of Tiffin; and Barbara (Tom) Clifton of Lima, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Poland was preceded in death by her parents, and three children, Connie Sue Poland, Cletus Robert Poland, and Robert Eugene Poland.
Jenot was a 1960 Calvert High School graduate. She had been a licensed Child Care Provider for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and formerly a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodges. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting activities.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Timothy Ferris at 10:30 am Monday, February 12, 2007 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit with Jenot’s family today, Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Wake service will be held at 6 pm Sunday, at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to St. Mary Church or to the Calvert Foundation in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
