Jeanne Marie Tackett, 74, of S. Sandusky Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Bay State Hospital, Springfield, Mass. She was born December 2, 1935 to the late Eugene and Marie (Laurencelle) Behlen. Jeanne married Norman V. Tackett, November 4, 1954 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, N. Scott (Kathy) Tackett of Warren, Oh, Gregory Tackett of Clarington, Ohio; three daughters, Lynette (Steve) Cristol of Warren, Mass., Mary Frances (Neil) Gibbons of Wilmington, N.C. and Michelle (Chris) Casale of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Nicole Tackett, Bryan Tackett, Megan Casale, Michael Casale, one great grandson, Benjamin Tackett; a brother, James (Mary) Behlen of Middletown, N.J. and a sister-in-law, Shirley Behlen of Brooklyn, N.Y.
She is preceded in death by a brother Michael Behlen.
Jeanne was a graduate of Bishop McDonnell High School, Brooklyn. She had retired from banking and retail services. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was active as a lector, Eucharistic minister, and a Mass planner.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The wake service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the funeral home with the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow immediately in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Mary Church, in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
