Jeanette M. (Jerwers) Caseman

Jeanette M. Caseman, 90, of Tiffin, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at St. Francis Home.

Jeanette was born November 24, 1925 in Ottawa, to Edward and Lena (Deters) Jerwers. She married Bernard W. Caseman February 14, 1946, in Glandorf and he died January 3, 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Lynch of Tiffin; five grandchildren,  Jeremy, Jamie, Justin, Matt and Lisa; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Gerald Caseman; a daughter, Geraldine Caseman; a son-in-law, Donald Lynch, two sisters, Erma Uphaus Elizabeth Payne and a brother Robert Jerwers.

Jeanette was a 1943 graduate of Ottawa Glandorf High School.  She was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper in her earlier life.  Most of her life she was a homemaker, farmer, girl scout leader, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society, bowled in Catholic Ladies Bowling League and belonged to several pinochle card flights.  She volunteered for funeral lunch programs and worked at the Soup Kitchen at St. Paul's luncheon program. She was an avid seamstress since she was a teenager and she always enjoyed sewing clothing for herself and family.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.  A wake will be at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A private burial will be at a later date in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Glandorf.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary Church, St. Francis Home or to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
