Jean Audry Hammond, 80, of Tiffin, Ohio died at 1:45 pm Friday, June 1, 2007 at her daughter’s residence, 69 Bobb Street. She was born on July 19, 1926 in Tiffin to the late William E. and Pansy A. (King) Kirchner. On March 31, 1946 in Newport, Kentucky, she married Marlin Hammond. He died on October 2, 2003.
Survivors include, three daughters, Patricia A. Immele of Glendale, AZ; Leanna K. Robbins and Peggy L. (Dave) Driftmyer both of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Todd (Amy) Williams, Trevor (Sarah) Dundore, Cory Immele, Shannon (John) Elchert, Brooke Dundore, and Kaihya (Marco) Jimenez; seven great grandchildren, Jerad, Kelsie-Alan, Alex, Elizabeth, Matthew, Kailena, and Alexis.
She is preceded in death by a brother, William F. Kirchner and a sister, Patricia A. Kirchner.
Mrs. Hammond had attended Columbian High School. She also attended Washington Street United Methodist Church. She was a licensed practical nurse at Mercy Hospital and for Dr. Lynski. She had retired from Dr. Cummings office. She was a member of the Eagles. Jean was an animal lover. She had three cats and a dog. She also enjoyed Bingo, golf and casinos.
Family and Friends may call from 5-8 pm, Tuesday, June 5, 2007, and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 with Rev. Gary Hicks officiating at Traunero Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately following in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
