Janet Ruth Hughey, 81, of Tiffin, Ohio, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born Aug. 2, 1919, in Toledo to Frank and Edna (Sills) Tabor. She married Vaughn V. Hughey on July 26, 1936, in Flint, Mich.; and he died Nov. 1, 1987.
Survivors include: five sons, David of Grand Cayman Island, British West Indies, Richard of Holt, Mich., Jon of San Francisco, R. Scott of Longview, Wash., and Steven of Montpelier; a daughter, Barbara Hughey of Bucyrus; six grandchildren; and a brother, Karel Taborsky of Lansing, Mich.
A sister, Vlasta Tremayne, is deceased.
She was a homemaker; member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Mohawk Country Club, United Commercial Travellers; a volunteer at Tiffin Mercy Hospital; an avid golf and bridge player; and enjoyed oil painting.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Old Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Trumble officiating.
There will be private visitation at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to either Seneca County Humane Society or to Community Hospice Care, Tiffin.
