James W. Luman, age 64, of S. SR 100, Tiffin, died at 12:34 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2004 in Emergency Care Center of Mercy Hospital, Tiffin, Ohio.
He was born on June 21, 1939 in Melmore Ohio to John Wilson and Neva (Haines) Luman. He married Alice Romich on September 21, 1966 and she preceded him in death. On April 16, 1994, in St. John's United Church of Christ, he married Rae Hersh and she survives.
Other survivors include 1 son, John W. Luman of Melmore; 4 sisters, Shannon (James) Lane of Brookville, Indiana; Charlene Nimocks of McCutchenville, Ohio; DeLyn (Carl Jr.) Bowen of Carey, Ohio and Dennisa (Dennis) Parrott of Melmore, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Stardell and Jake Luman, Lacy Nimocks, Grady and Morgan Bowen, Bridgett Stallard, Autumn, Halie and Arthur Parrott; 2 sisters, Jean Factor of Upper Sandusky; and Rozanne Factor of Tiffin.
Mr. Luman attended Melmore School. He had retired in June of 2002 as a heavy equipment operator at Reliance Lease and Rental Company, Perrysburg, Ohio. He had served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
The funeral will be conducted by Rev. David Culp. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ Bell Choir,the American Heart Association or to the family in care of Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
